In the quiet hours of a Sunday morning in New Haven, Connecticut, a tragedy unfolded that would leave a family grieving and a community seeking answers. On November 21, 2021, 40-year-old Quinton Jones, a Black/African American male, was discovered in his car on Ogden Street, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. His death was later officially ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
