In the days leading up to Christmas, a violent altercation in West Memphis, Arkansas, resulted in the death of 34-year-old Chris Leduc. The incident, which occurred on December 21, 2016, unfolded at the Lakeshore Trailer Park off South Cove. Leduc was a male.
The tragic event began with a physical fight between Leduc and relatives of Timothy Bell, who was the father of Leduc's nephews.
Following this initial confrontation, Bell reportedly left the scene, only to return a short time later with a firearm. He is said to have fired multiple shots into the trailer where Leduc was located. Leduc was struck multiple times by the gunfire. Another person inside the trailer sustained a graze wound but was expected to survive.
After the shooting, a manhunt for Timothy Bell, then 28 years old, was initiated by law enforcement, who considered him to be armed and dangerous. The search concluded the following morning, on December 22, 2016, when Bell surrendered to the authorities at approximately 11:15 a.m. He was subsequently taken into custody and faced a charge of murder in connection with Chris Leduc's death.
