On January 2, 2019, 16-year-old Malcom Jemison was fatally shot during a home invasion at a residence on Galaxy Street in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The assailants, identified as 19-year-old Flando Montgomery and 22-year-old Taurus Bedford, entered the home with the intent to commit robbery.
