Clavonte Eubanks, aged 15, was fatally shot on February 4, 2017, in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood on Chicago’s Far South Side. The shooting took place early on Saturday morning in a park near where Eubanks lived. He was pronounced dead after being found with a gunshot wound. His death was among several incidents of gun violence that occurred in Chicago during the first months of 2017, underscoring the ongoing crisis of violence in the city.
