On September 27, 2023, at approximately 1 a.m., 25-year-old Walter Mancia Menjivar was fatally shot outside a hotel on International Boulevard in Oakland, California. Menjivar, a resident of Oakland, was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations revealed that he did not have a steady residence and may have been staying at the hotel where he was killed.
