On the night of June 14, 2023, 34-year-old Michael Almonte-Sine was operating as an Uber driver in North Philadelphia. Around 11:00 p.m., while transporting an 18-year-old passenger along the 1300 block of West Lehigh Avenue, a bullet pierced the rear windshield of his Honda CRV, traveled through the vehicle, and struck him in the back of the head.
