Akeem Laurel, a 27-year-old man from Savannah, Georgia, was found dead on September 16, 2011, under suspicious circumstances. His body was discovered early in the morning in a lane off West 38th Street. A passerby noticed Laurel's body at around 4:30 a.m. and reported it to the authorities.
