In the late hours of a summer evening in Detroit, a decision to rest for a moment turned fatal for Deandre Bankhead. On June 29, 2023, the 38-year-old male had been drinking and chose the apparent safety of his own car to sleep it off. He was parked on Kimberly Court, near Grand River and Joy, a location that would soon become the scene of a tragedy that has left his family searching for answers.
