In the winter of 2023, the life of a young man, Prophet Lateef Williams, was tragically cut short in Lawton, Oklahoma. On the evening of February 23rd, the 19-year-old Black male became a victim of gun violence. Born on October 26, 2003, Prophet was the firstborn son of Mark J. and Tashia A. Rogers-Williams. His untimely death sent ripples of grief through his family and the wider community.
