Robert E. Yee, a 61-year-old retired Miami Police captain, was murdered on July 10, 2009, while working as a security guard at Hurricane Cove Marina in Miami. He was shot execution-style, and investigators later connected Rafael Toirac-Aguilera to the crime through DNA evidence found at the scene. The motive appeared to be related to Yee’s possible knowledge of illegal activity at the marina. In 2016, Toirac-Aguilera was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, bringing some closure to Yee' ...
