On February 1, 2023, around midnight, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at a home off Westwood Road in Westlake, Louisiana. Upon arrival, deputies found Damarcus A. Ardoin, 25, deceased inside the residence.
The investigation, led by Detective Barrett Savoie, revealed that Ardoin's death was being treated as a homicide. The Calcasieu Coroner was tasked with determining the cause of death.
