On September 7, 2010, Hubert Caniza, a two-year-old child, was tragically killed in Miami, Florida. The incident occurred during what was initially a routine night for the family. According to accounts, gunshots erupted outside their residence as the family was settling in for the evening. Hubert's mother, startled by the sounds, went outside to discover her son fatally wounded. He had been shot, and the suspect fled the scene before law enforcement could arrive.
