Jaykia G.L. Pitts, a 17-year-old girl, was killed on August 7, 2011, in Miami, Florida. Jaykia was one of three victims of a tragic drive-by shooting that took place as they gathered outside in a residential area. The shooting occurred suddenly, leaving Jaykia fatally injured before she could receive any medical attention.
