Megan Simmons, aged 14, was tragically killed on August 10, 2013, in Jacksonville, Florida. She and her best friend, Jazmine Shelton, were shot in a drive-by attack while sleeping in a trailer home located on Missouri Avenue. The incident occurred in the early morning, and dozens of bullets riddled the trailer. Jazmine died at the scene, while Megan succumbed to her injuries later at the hospital.
