On September 15, 2023, Brian Scott Manecke, a 46-year-old veteran investigator with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO), was found dead in Lincolnton, Georgia. His body was discovered in his personal vehicle on a dirt road, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
