Do you know who murdered 24 year old Shelly Arnold in 2015?
On February 19, 2015, Shelly Arnold, aged 24, was found dead in a vacant lot near W. Doane Avenue in Eustis, Florida. Her body was discovered three days after she was last seen leaving a friend's house on February 16. The circumstances of her death were particularly gruesome: she was found naked with significant mutilations, including her face and a tattoo that had been removed from her body. Investigators believe that she may have been killed elsewhere and then transported to the field, as no signs of a struggle were found at the scene.

The investigation into Arnold's murder has been challenging, with limited leads despite efforts by law enforcement to gather information. Police also revealed that DNA evidence belonging to Arnold's boyfriend was found at the scene, but it was insufficient to establish his involvement, given that he had been in contact with her shortly before her death. The trauma inflicted on her body appeared to be post-mortem, adding further complications to the investigation.

Arnold's family and friends have continued to seek justice. Her mother made a public plea for anyone with information to come forward, and a memorial has been established at the site where her body was found. Arnold's friends, who described her as struggling with substance abuse, believe that her murder may have been related to a dispute over an income tax refund. Despite these suspicions, no arrests have been made, and police are still actively seeking any information that could lead to a breakthrough in this unsolved case. Authorities have offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in connection with her death. The case remains one of the most distressing unsolved homicides in Eustis, a town that rarely experiences such violent crimes.
