On May 26, 2016, 59-year-old William Curtis was killed in Jacksonville, Florida, during a gun deal that went wrong. The incident occurred when Curtis was attempting to complete a transaction that escalated into a confrontation. During the attempted robbery, Curtis was shot and ultimately died from his injuries.
