On June 7, 2024, a tragic murder-suicide occurred outside a Chase Bank in the West Kendall area of Miami-Dade County, Florida. Odalys Bancroft, a 43-year-old woman, and her 4-year-old son, Theodore "Teddy" Couto, were fatally shot while in line at the bank's drive-thru ATM.

The incident involved a man in an SUV who pulled up next to Bancroft's minivan and opened fire, killing both her and her son. The shooter, later identified as 41-year-old Michael Andres Pineda Lozano, was Bancroft's ...
