On June 29, 2024, Faye Porter, a 31-year-old mother of six children, was found deceased following a shooting in the 1500 block of Northwest 20th Avenue in Ocala, Florida. The Ocala Police Department (OPD) responded to the scene at 10:38 p.m..

Faye Porter was described by her family as a "sweet, kindhearted" person. She was born in Clearwater but had lived in Ocala for most of her life. At the time of her death, she was working to regain custody of her children, who were living with her ...
