On August 19, 2016, 20-year-old Freddy Benson was shot and killed in a tragic incident at the Oakhurst Square Apartments in Tampa, Florida. Multiple gunshots were fired at the apartment complex, striking Benson. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting suggest it may have been linked to a previous drive-by shooting at the same location just days before, raising suspicions that it could have been a retaliatory attack.
