In March 2017, a tragic series of events unfolded in a Phoenix, Arizona, home that ended the life of 9-year-old Landen Lavarnia. The young male was rushed to a local hospital on March 20, 2017, with a critical gunshot wound to the head and succumbed to his injury the following day. The initial report to authorities came from his mother, Wendy Lavarnia, who claimed her 2-year-old son had accidentally shot his older brother after finding a handgun she had left on a bed.
