On a tragic afternoon in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, the life of 39-year-old Jamie Reese Gottier, a Caucasian female, was brought to a sudden and violent end. On September 17, 2018, as Jamie and her 14-year-old daughter, Hannah, were arriving at their home on Beachcomber Drive, they were met with gunfire. The shots tragically claimed both of their lives in front of their residence.
The serene neighborhood was shattered by the violence that unfolded around 3:30 p.m., prompting calls to the police.
When officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered the bodies of Jamie and Hannah. A further search of the property led them to a parked truck in the carport. Inside, they found Tobin Daniel Gottier, Jamie's 42-year-old husband and Hannah's father, deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation that followed pointed to a grim conclusion: Tobin Gottier had shot and killed his wife and daughter before taking his own life.
The motive behind the devastating murder-suicide remained under investigation by authorities.
