Special Agent Paul Albro Read, a dedicated officer with the Bureau of Prohibition, met a tragic end in the line of duty on July 21, 1933, in Missoula, Montana. He was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend a known liquor dealer during the era of Prohibition in the United States.
