Stephen Davis, a 60-year-old man from Florida, died on October 12, 2015, while on a hunting trip in Murray, Idaho. Initial reports indicated that his death was a homicide, but further investigation revealed it to be a tragic accident.

Davis had been hunting with friends and family. After finishing for the day, he went to remove his shoes while still wearing a .44 magnum revolver in a shoulder holster. Tragically, the gun discharged, striking him in the chest.
