Margie Kyoko Tatsuno was a 14-month-old girl from Wahiawa, Hawaii, whose life ended in one of the island's most haunting household killings of 1960. On August 9, 1960, the quiet of a small studio apartment in Wahiawa was shattered when gunfire left four people dead: Margie, her mother Tomoko Katori Tatsuno, her infant sister Ann, and a 35-year-old man identified in contemporaneous reporting as Jack Warden of Atlanta.
Early newspaper accounts described the scene as baffling even to police at first, with investigators saying they were confronted by what appeared to be three murders and a suicide inside the family's apartment.
