On Memorial Day, May 25, 2015, a day of remembrance and holiday festivities, 36-year-old Cody Woodruff, a white male, was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident cut short the life of a man described by his family as a loving father and a passionate fan of Alabama football.
