On October 10, 2008, Delfa Hercules, a 40-year-old woman, was fatally stabbed in Northwest Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 am in the 1700 block of 3rd Street, NW. After being attacked, Hercules managed to move towards Florida Avenue, NW, where she collapsed in front of 230 Florida Avenue. Emergency responders were called to the scene, but despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries.
