On June 25, 2012, Lawrence "Bones" Neal, Jr., aged 39, was ruled to be the victim of a homicide after his skeletal remains were found on September 25, 2011. The remains were discovered in the rear of 2804 Buena Vista Terrace, SE, Washington, D.C. The discovery of his body led to an extensive investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), who eventually classified the case as a homicide based on the findings of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
