On April 23, 2013, Rahmaan Jamal Ward, aged 32, was shot and killed in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 10:07 PM in the 3500 block of 18th Street, SE. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of a shooting, and upon arrival, they found Ward suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
