On March 3, 2023, in the village of Tanana, Alaska, 72-year-old Francis Edgar "Dozer" Roberts was fatally shot during a dispute with his 25-year-old great-nephew and neighbor, Francis James Roberts. The altercation arose after the elder Roberts and his wife returned home to find that snow they had cleared from their driveway had been pushed back, allegedly by the younger Roberts.
