On November 12, 2022, at approximately 2:30 a.m., deputies from the Talladega County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting incident in the 300 block of Swain Lane in Alpine, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Don Andre Sanders Jr. suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Sanders was promptly transported to Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
