On May 25, 2021, 67-year-old Brian A. Shaw was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds at his residence on Ladonna Drive in Odenville, Alabama. The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, along with the Odenville Police Department and JSU's Applied Forensic Science Unit, initiated an extensive investigation into the homicide.
