On the evening of November 25, 2019, at approximately 9:59 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 6100 block of Avenue H in Lipscomb, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Derrico Dayevondre Harris inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Harris was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
