On the evening of July 21, 2010, Phoeasha E. Hill, a 28-year-old African-American woman, was sitting on the porch of her residence in the 2400 block of N. 37th St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In an act of sudden violence, she was shot. The Milwaukee Police Department responded to a call just before 11 p.m. and found Hill with at least one gunshot wound.
