Murdered

A 5 yr old dies of a mysterious head injury
Five-year-old Serena M. Dengler was rushed to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma from her home on the 1400 block of SW Oak Road in South Kitsap after suffering a head injury. The sheriff’s office said that there were conflicting reports as to how she received the injury. She died before getting to the hospital; the Pierce County Medical Examiner classified her death as a homicide. Detectives are still investigating the case.
