Two males walking home after a party are shot and killed
On Saturday, August 2, 1986, at 1:35 am, Gregory Smith and LaFrant Tyrone James were walking home after attending a party on Monterey Street. In the 200 block of S. Acme a car with four to six Hispanic males stopped at Enid and Pharis streets. The males called out to Smith and James Hey, Brothers. Then four shots rang out from the car, with the passenger sitting on the windowsill of the car firing over the car at the two victims. Both Smith and James sustained gunshot wounds.
