On July 10, 2007, 42-year-old Willie Earl Scott was found deceased in the back room of his men's clothing and shoe store, J&W Fashions, located near West Little York and Wheatley streets in Houston, Texas. Two customers discovered his body around 2:45 p.m.; he had been shot in the neck at close range.
