On September 29, 2007, Adrian Flakes, a 19-year-old from Houston, was shot and killed in the 10900 block of Village Bend Lane. The incident occurred around 7:10 a.m., when a witness observed an assailant chasing Flakes through an apartment complex while firing multiple shots.
