On December 28, 2007, Steve Jr. Sanford, aged 63, was killed in his home in northwest Houston, Texas. The incident occurred in the early hours, around 4:45 a.m., when a fire broke out at his residence. Authorities determined that the fire had been deliberately set in an effort to cover up a violent crime.
