Joseph Lee Fransaw, age 26, was fatally shot on June 8, 2008, outside a nightclub in downtown Houston, Texas. The incident occurred at the Vault Club, located at 1000 Rusk Street. Fransaw was standing near the club when two men, who were in a black, four-door Pontiac Grand Am, fired multiple shots at him around 1:50 a.m. He was struck in the upper abdomen and was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he underwent surgery. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on June 13, 2008.
The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting, and no arrests were made at the time.
