On June 25, 2010, Sergio Luis Lima, a 30-year-old resident of Pasadena, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas. The fatal incident took place at around 3:50 a.m. at 4660 Telephone Road. According to reports, Lima was found in the parking lot of the location, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Responding officers from the Houston Police Department arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting was reported, but Lima was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
The investigation revealed that the incident stemmed from an earlier altercation inside a nearby bar. Four Hispanic males were involved in an argument with other patrons inside the bar, and were subsequently escorted out by security. After being removed, they returned in a vehicle a short time later and fired shots in the direction of the bar, ultimately fatally striking Lima. Witnesses reported that the suspects fled in a white Chrysler 300 with paper tags. Authorities are still searching for the suspects, described only as four Hispanic males in their early 20s.
The case remains open, and police have urged anyone with information to come forward. This homicide is part of a broader trend of violent incidents that continue to challenge law enforcement in Houston, highlighting the ongoing need for community cooperation in solving such crimes.
