Jeffery Norrod, age 52, was fatally shot on May 28, 2015, in Houston, Texas, during what police described as a drug-related incident. The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. while Norrod was in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 12000 North Gessner Road. According to the Houston Police Department, Norrod was driving his vehicle when he was shot. Emergency services transported him to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
