On June 9, 2012, Sadie Butler, 57, was fatally shot at a bus stop located on West Tidwell Road in northwest Houston. Butler, who was described by her family as a kind-hearted and trusting person, was found around 6:20 a.m. by a passerby who alerted a nearby gas station attendant. Butler's family and the Houston Police have asked the public for help in identifying her killer, as no leads or motive have been discovered so far. Her purse and jewelry were found intact at the scene, ruling out robbery as a motive. Despite her family’s appeals for information, the case remains unsolved.
