Farouk Haifa, a 52-year-old convenience store owner in San Antonio, Texas, was killed on April 15, 2013, during an apparent robbery attempt at his store, Stanley's Ice Station, located on the South Side of the city. Police suspect that this earlier incident might have escalated into the fatal confrontation that took Haifa's life a week later.
