Farouk Haifa, a 52-year-old convenience store owner in San Antonio, Texas, was killed on April 15, 2013, during an apparent robbery attempt at his store, Stanley's Ice Station, located on the South Side of the city. Haifa was discovered around 7 a.m. by an employee, lying facedown behind the store's front counter with multiple chest wounds. It appeared he fought back against the intruder before succumbing to his injuries. The police described the incident as a "robbery gone bad," noting that the ...
