Jamie Lynn Walker, aged 17, was found murdered on April 30, 1978, in Bakersfield, California. She had gone to Memorial Hospital the previous evening to visit a friend who had just given birth. Her body was discovered the next morning in an almond orchard along Famosa Highway. She had been shot behind the right ear with a small-caliber handgun, and there was evidence suggesting sexual assault.
