A teen goes to visit a friend; she is later found dead in an orchard\n
Jamie Lynn Walker, aged 17, was found murdered on April 30, 1978, in Bakersfield, California. She had gone to Memorial Hospital the previous evening to visit a friend who had just given birth. Her body was discovered the next morning in an almond orchard along Famosa Highway. She had been shot behind the right ear with a small-caliber handgun, and there was evidence suggesting sexual assault. Her fiancé's truck, which she had borrowed to go to the hospital, was later found nearby with some of h ...
