Steven Skero, a 33-year-old man, was killed in a fatal shooting that took place in the parking lot of El Reventon Sports Bar and Night Club in Houston, Texas, on October 12, 2015. The incident occurred during an altercation around 2:55 a.m. when a dispute broke out between several individuals outside the club. During the altercation, Skero was shot after an unidentified man left the scene briefly, returned with a firearm, and fired multiple shots.
After the shooting, Skero attempted to flee but collapsed a short distance away and died on the scene.
The shooter, who wore a white T-shirt and dark pants, fled in a black four-door pickup truck that had a silver toolbox in the back. A second individual, Hugo De La Cruz, was also involved in the altercation. De La Cruz was observed firing the weapon and was ultimately shot by a security guard who intervened. Both Skero and De La Cruz were pronounced dead at the scene. The Houston Police Department requested assistance from the public to identify the suspect who left the scene in the pickup truck, but no further information regarding an arrest or suspect identification has been publicly disclosed since the incident.
