Eddie Gaderson, a 30-year-old man, was fatally shot on February 22, 2016, in a drive-by shooting in Houston, Texas. The incident took place in front of AM Mimi Mart on Cullen Boulevard. Surveillance footage from the scene captured a gray BMW X series SUV, possibly with paper tags, suspected to be involved in the shooting. Gaderson was struck by a shot fired from inside the car, and he died at the scene before medical help could save him.
The Houston Police Department later released the video in hopes of gathering more information about the suspects involved in the shooting.
Gaderson had a known history with law enforcement and was previously listed in a Harris County gang injunction lawsuit. The lawsuit had banned Gaderson and several others from a designated area in Houston, within which the shooting occurred. It is believed that the attack might have some connection to prior conflicts involving gang activities.
The suspect involved in the shooting is identified as Keith Gaderson, who fled the scene after the shooting. He was subsequently charged with the murder, and authorities issued a warrant for his arrest. Keith Gaderson was also wanted on separate charges, including domestic violence and possession of a firearm as a felon. Despite the community’s efforts to gather more information, the investigation into Eddie Gaderson's homicide is still ongoing.
