On May 2, 2016, 35-year-old Victor Manuel Saavedra Jr. was fatally shot outside his family's home in northwest Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Cole Creek Drive near West Tidwell Road. According to the Houston Police Department, Saavedra was attacked by two to three assailants who severely beat him before shooting him multiple times.
