On June 15, 2016, Michael Garner, a 26-year-old resident of Fort Worth, Texas, was found deceased on Conroy Street in the city's south side. Responding to reports of gunfire shortly after 1 a.m., police officers discovered Garner's body lying in the roadway, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The area, near the interchange of Interstate 35W and Interstate 20, was promptly secured as investigators commenced their examination of the crime scene.
