On August 31, 2016, 85-year-old Margaret Patricia Shelton was found deceased in her Fort Worth, Texas, home. Her son, Kenneth E. Baker, 50, contacted authorities, admitting to suffocating his mother using duct tape and his hand. He also confessed to killing the family dog by breaking its neck. Neighbors reported hearing an argument between Baker and Shelton earlier that day. Baker was arrested and charged with murder, with his motive under investigation. citeturn0search0
